One of the highlights of a marketing agency’s calendar is attending the American Advertising Awards, hosted by AAF Buffalo. It’s a night to celebrate the incredible advertising work that comes out of the Buffalo area, with awards for print, online, film, integrated campaigns, and more.

This year, we walked away with a Silver ADDY recognizing the integrated campaign we developed for Georgia-Pacific Building Products, focused on DensDeck® StormX™ Prime Roof Board.

The campaign

An integrated campaign uses different media throughout the user journey to reach its defined audience. Focusing on account-based marketing, our goal was to educate architects and roofing contractors on the benefits of using DensDeck® StormX™ Prime Roof Board.

Beyond a headline and offer they couldn’t resist, we wanted to give our audience the most compelling reason to use the product—proof.

This approach provided the “why” behind the product: By using DensDeck® StormX™  Prime Roof Board, Georgia-Pacific’s customers could design and build with confidence, even in environments with severe weather.

The campaign included a landing page, email journey, eBook, digital and social ads, and retargeting ads.

The team

Themed after summer camp, Buffalo’s 2024 American Advertising Awards brought to mind one of the most important camp lessons—teamwork. Whether you’re trying to keep your bunk the cleanest or come up with the most impressive chant, summer camp is a team sport.

In that spirit, we gratefully acknowledge the individuals who worked together to take this campaign from planning to execution and create the now award-winning strategy and components:

  • Mike LaDuca, VP, Executive Creative Director
  • Josh Gumulak, Account Director
  • Austin Hill, Motion Designer
  • Dana Gray, Art Director
  • Monica Ulrich, Copywriter
  • Kaitlyn Kulesza, Senior Project Manager
  • Hailey Rozanski, Account Coordinator
  • Laura Doxbeck, Project Coordinator

Thank you for your time and work, and for representing FARM so well.

What else can we do?

This campaign is a great example of the work we do for our clients, but it doesn’t cover everything. Our services include design, copywriting, SEO, research, website development, copywriting, digital media, and so much more. View more  of our work, and even check out our previous award winners.

About the American Advertising Awards

According to the AAF, “The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 25,000 entries every year in local AAF Ad Club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.”

To judge the awards, each local planning committee selects a judging panel made up of accomplished professionals from outside the region to ensure there’s no personal bias in results.

The judging panel then reviews the submissions and goes through a scoring process. A Gold ADDY recognizes the highest level of achievement, followed by a Silver ADDY. There is no set number of awards for each category—winners are selected based on quality alone.
